Introduction to the 2019 MSF for Volunteers for the Republican Info Booth

 

The 2019 Mountain State Fair (MSF) is coming up fast!  September 2019 marks the 25^th year that the Buncombe County Republican Men’s Club (BCRMC) has sponsored and manned a Republican information booth at the North Carolina Mountain State Fair.   This year, the MSF starts on Friday, September 6 and ends on Sunday evening, September 15 at 9:00 p.m.    The Fair is held at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, NC.

 

Our information booth is located in just about the center of the Davis Event Center, which is located just about in the geographical center of the WNC Ag Center.  Enter the fairgrounds through Gate 8, park, proceed due north through the main entrance, and then proceed due north to the Event Center.   See the fairground map at http://www.wncagcenter.org/p/mountainstatefair/competitions/350

      The objectives of the BCRMC booth are to a) register voters (primarily, but not limited to, Republicans), b) represent to the thousands of passing citizens the smiling face of the Republican Party of WNC, and c) support WNC Republican candidates by offering a “home away from home” where they can meet literally thousands of WNC citizens.  

      Volunteers are critical to the effort.    Most of those who read this note plan to attend the Mountain State Fair at least once between September 6 and September 15, 2019.   Please consider helping with the booth.   It will be some of the most rewarding time you have ever spent at the Fair!    Our display space is inside the Event Center, a permanent building with lots of space, restrooms, air-conditioning, and a cafe. 

Volunteers for the BCRMC are responsible for purchasing their own tickets to the NC MSF.    These discount tickets will be available from Ingles before Sept 6 – but not once the fair has started.   On Friday, Sept 13, gate admission for senior adults is FREE!  Drop by the Republican booth and say howdy!
